Souvenirs:

Vietnam offers a wide range of distinctive souvenirs for travelers to choose from, such as lacquerware, silk, conical hats, woodcarvings, hill tribe fabrics and handicrafts, embroidery, marble, ceramics, silver jewelry, antique watches, and paintings. Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are the best places for shopping, but Hoi An in central Vietnam is also a great place to find bargains.

Clothing:

It's recommended to wear light, comfortable, and easy-to-wash clothing. Temperatures during the winter months in Hanoi and the rainy season in the central region can be cool; bringing a sweater or light jacket will be very useful. Good walking shoes and sandals that can be easily removed are a suitable choice, especially when visiting temples and local homes.
